Tip of the Week for 05/06/13: Shading the Barometer

As the weather warms up, a lot more Hoverfly users will be taking their rigs out to fly in the sunny summer weather. If you're flying a new build, don't forget that direct sunlight can be detrimental to your HoverflyPRO's onboard barometer - that's the silver square that has a pinhole in the center of it, located near the Future port.

We highly recommend that you shade this part of the board from the sun, If you don't have an opaque dome over your electronics, a small piece of foam taped lightly over this portion of the board will also help. Don't tape it down too tightly, as air needs to flow over that pinhole in order for the barometer to do its work.
